What you'll do

• This role is focused on creative product thinking, experimentation and physical prototyping rather than CAD or 3D printing operations.
• What You Will Work On Research interesting physical products, creators and brands globally Analyse products to understand their concepts, mechanisms, form, colours and user interaction Explore mechanisms such as folding, magnetic connections, hinges, gears, sliding, transformation and modularity Generate original product concepts and multiple design variations Explore product aesthetics, colour combinations, materials and visual language Create rough sketches, prototypes and physical experiments Use 3D printing to prototype, test and improve product concepts Research existing products and competitors to identify opportunities and gaps Develop products that are functional, visually distinctive, playful and commercially interesting Explore ideas with strong user appeal and potential for visual storytelling What We Are Looking For We are looking for creative thinkers and makers who genuinely enjoy creating and experimenting with physical objects.
• The ideal candidate: Has a strong visual and design sense Is curious about how physical objects and mechanisms work Enjoys coming up with multiple ideas and exploring different possibilities Has an interest in products, toys, gadgets, mechanisms, 3D printing or DIY making Understands form, colour, proportion and physical interaction Enjoys experimenting, prototyping and learning through making Has good sketching and visual communication skills Is comfortable using AI tools for research, brainstorming and ideation Is able to think beyond existing products and develop original concepts Skills & Tools Product and visual thinking Creative ideation and concept development Basic understanding of physical mechanisms Sketching and visual communication Prototyping mindset Interest in 3D printing and physical experimentation Familiarity with AI tools for research and ideation Knowledge of Fusion 360 or other CAD tools is a plus, but advanced CAD expertise is not mandatory.
