What you'll do
- Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for an Unexploded Ordnance Tech II to support our government customer located at Andros Island in the Bahamas.
- Seeking an Unexploded Ordnance Tech II to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas.
- AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.
- The Unexploded Ordnance Tech II is responsible for performing handling, preparation, post run and transport of exercise torpedoes and associated equipment in accordance with NAVAIR/NAVSEA/NAVFAC guidelines on the AUTEC project.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
- Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair on exercise torpedoes (MK-46/MK-50 REXTORP's, MK-48, MOD 4, 5, 6, 7 and MK-46, 54 EXTORP's) and associated equipment in accordance with NAVAIR/NAVSEA guidelines.
- Operate tractor-trailer, forklift, and overhead cranes per NAVFAC guidelines.
- Conduct rigging operations of heavy equipment per NAVFAC standards.
- Handle, package, transport hazardous ordnance material up to 1.1 per NAVORD standards.
Requirements
- Practical experience with infosec, supervisor, legal, sys admin.
- Relevant academic or project background for a Unexploded Ordnance Tech II role.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Comfortable working on-site in South Andros,.
