• How you will make an impact As our (Senior) Financial Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Team and report to the VP of Finance & Legal.
• You will be expected to proactively and continuously develop existing accounting processes and participate in projects to automate our accounting processes and make them more efficient.
• You will be interacting closely with your teammates from various departments on topics such as invoice approvals, company expenses, and debt collection.
• The Finance team is responsible for the company’s financial affairs and legal matters.
• Some of your tasks and responsibilities include Record monthly journal entries based on German GAAP/HGB (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts).
• Maintenance of master data as well as reconciliation and management of AP and AR accounts.
• Full ownership of the DATEV general ledger infrastructure, maximizing DATEV Unternehmen Online workflows/interfaces, and managing automated transaction pipelines.
• Account monitoring and processing of open items lists and processing of provisions and accrual/deferral bookings.
• Payment transactions, creation of payment runs, and operational liquidity management, working closely with our FP&A / Financial Controlling department.
• Independent execution of monthly closing activities.

Requirements

• Practical experience with Finance.
• Experience level: 5+ yrs.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Comfortable working on-site in Berlin, Berlin, Germany.
