What you'll do

  • Join us as a (Senior) Data Platform Engineer (all genders) in our Data Applications Platform team (parental leave cover for 12 months) and help shape the future of autonomous mobility! The Data Applications Platform team is at the heart of MOIA ’s data ecosystem.
  • We build and operate the core applications and APIs that make data accessible, usable, and actionable across the company.
  • Our mission is to empower over 25 teams to work independently and effectively with data by providing robust, scalable, and developer-friendly platforms.
  • We own and maintain key products like Airflow, QuickSight, Data Export API, and CubeJS.
  • Our team focuses on automation, tooling, and application development on AWS to ensure that data at MOIA flows securely, reliably, and at scale.
  • What you will do Build and operate core data platform applications such as Airflow, QuickSight, Data Export API, and CubeJS to enable self-service and scalable data usage across MOIA.
  • Design, implement, and maintain APIs and platform services, with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and developer experience.
  • Develop and deploy serverless and containerized applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, ECS /Fargate, EKS , and S3.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code and ensure secure, scalable, and observable systems.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple domains, helping them integrate with and build on top of the platform.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with Cloud & Platform Engineering.
  • Relevant academic or project background for a (Senior) Data Platform Engineer (all genders) - Parental leave cover 12 months role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Hamburg.
